PAPERS PLEASE!

Haitian communication is not always that clear apparently. The missing aunt turned out to be Leika's grandmother - but that doesn't matter. What does matter is that Granny did go to the offices of IBESR but no one apparently told her to bring some ID. Here we always have a wallet or purse with us with some form of ID, not the case in this little country. So, Granny went home. If forget my ID, I go home and get it and go back to take care of business. Granny goes home and goes back to normal life. GLA is in the process of trying to get Gran-Gran back up to the IBESR offices with some ID this time so our paperwork can be accepted and begin the process - remember, we have not even started the process in Haiti yet and we sent off the paperwork six months ago. SIX MONTH - and still waiting for it to begin.
Remember that this is your week to buy Butterbraids and check out the Believe catalog as our fundraisers! Thank you!

Sorry to hear about the setback again. Really sorry. But does Granny even have any ID in such a tattered country?
